The pilgrimage mission of the Cross of Gratitude to all the capitals of the world originated from the words heard on the day of the Resurrection of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in 2003. “Take my Cross and bring it to all the capitals of the world as a sign of gratitude to Almighty God for our salvation, which we receive from Jesus Christ” The mission of the Cross of Gratitude is to prepare for the 2000th Jubilee anniversary of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ (2033) and to unite the nations of the world as one family by His Cross. On March 10, 2004, in the Vatican, The Holy Father John Paul II blessed the initiators of this mission. His successor, Pope Benedict XVI also blessed the Cross in 2006 during a pilgrimage in Krakow, Poland. In 2016, Pope Francis blessed the Cross and all those conducting the evangelization campaign. The Cross has already journeyed to 46 European capitals. The schedule plans for visits to North and South America, then to Asia, Africa, Indonesia, and Australia. The pilgrimage aims to unite all the nations of the world into one family at the Cross of Christ. Jesus suffered for every one of us, to give us the gift of God - the gift of eternal life.
