St. Vincent de Paul is open for confessions and quiet prayer. Every Thursday in Lent, we meet for the Holy Hour and Confessions. In addition, every Adorotian opens with a brief reflection to help us grow closer to the Lord and prepare better for the sacrament of penance and reconciliation. For more information, check out our Confession Guide.
The Stations of the Cross are one of the most known devotions during the time of Lent. Here, at St. Vincent de Paul we relive the passion of the Lord on the way to Calvary every Friday at 6 pm.
The Stations of the Cross are a 14-step Catholic devotion that commemorates Jesus Christ's last day on Earth as a man. The 14 devotions, or stations, focus on specific events of His last day, beginning with His condemnation. The stations are commonly used as a mini pilgrimage as the individual moves from station to station. The individual station recalls and meditates on a specific event from Christ's last day at each station. Specific prayers are recited, then the individual moves to the next station until all 14 are complete.
Every Thursday we have the Holy Hour with the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Confessions. Begining every Holy Hour, there is a talk that may help you deepen the understanding of your faith or simply prepare you better for prayer or confession. If you missed the talk, don't worry. You may follow the playlist below and access them now.
Fr. Michal, the pastor of SDdP working closely with Fr. Zygmunt Kurzwinski has prepared a series of daily challenges for the time of Lent. You may follow them daily or as you see fit to enter more deeply into the spiritual gym of Lent. Join today!
