Pre-March Preparation for Youth Rally & Mass for Life -- January 22 Assistance is needed to prepare for the thousands of youth at the Verizon Center from midnight to 2am; easy tasks. Carpooling, treats, and many hands-that-make-quick-work make this an enjoyable experience.
Two parishes are particularly close to the March for Life and Supreme Court, St. Peter's and St. Joseph's, both on Capitol Hill. They both have provided hospitality to marchers for decades.
Each year they rely on the generosity and assistance of volunteers - whether parishioners or friends - to provide this hosptiality to THOUSANDS of Marchers. St. Vincent de Paul parishioners have assisted with providing assistance at St. Peter's and St. Joseph's as well.

What to expect: Warm spirits and happy faces greeting you, thanking you for volunteering and providing such warmth and hospitality. Day-of tasks include cutting donuts in-half, setting up and maintaining coffee and hot-coco stations, keeping tables clean, answering questions. You will feel gratified that you could provide a little respite for courageous Marchers and be awed at some of the distances they traveled and the stories they share. You may meet a Bishop and even run-into people you know.
Both parishes are welcoming volunteers, can you spare an hour (or more)?
St. Peter's: Shifts are available all day from 4am-5pm. Their biggest crunch is between 3pm-5pm. (Also Pre-March set-up on January 18 from 6pm-7pm; and January 21 around 4pm).
St. Joseph's: Shifts are available in the morning for set-up; afternoon from 1pm-4pm (possibly until 5pm)
